The Funniest Joke On TV: Bill O'Reilly

Seriously, folks... have you heard the one about the anti-Semitic hate site called Daily Kos? As it turns out, it isn't. Bah-duh-dum!

Bill O'Reilly got busted AGAIN for lying to his (apparently) willfully ignorant audience. Sadly, we here at Think, Dammit! aren't expecting to see a retraction from Mr. War-on-Christmas anytime soon. We'll settle for watching Keith Olbermann mock him instead.

As an aside, it's pretty funny to see the O'Reilly clip (in the link, above) where he appears to be insinuating that there's something nefarious about "hidden" comments. Clearly O'Reilly doesn't understand that hiding comments is how the website community self-polices against offensive commentary that occasionally gets posted via anonymous posters.

I'm glad to see you back, the core followers of the Socialist Party in our family were left floundering without direction in your absence. lol just kidding. How was your summer? Did you read any good books? Again, good to see you back...I missed your commentaries.

WELL, HELLO THERE!!!

I was enjoying my blog vacation right up until I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.** And so it happened that the Protect America Act of 2007 was passed. I mean, really -- see what happens when I don't stay on top of things? :-)

**gratuitous Star Wars reference

But seriously, I did have a pretty good summer. I lost 20 lbs, went to the caribbean, got a new roof put on the house, painted the trim, did some landscaping, and actually read just for pleasure. It's amazing what happens when one backs away from the laptop for a few weeks!

How was your summer? Did you raise a ton of money for the library? Write nasty supply-side letters to Paul Krugman?

I'm looking forward to seeing your parents while they're here for their visit in a few weeks. I'm sure Brendan will be cooking up some good eats, too -- a happy side effect. Hopefully the weather won't suck... it's been raining for days.

Please stay in touch -- I can only stand the sound of my own voice around here for so long.

p.s.
I don't mean to be rude but isn't Texas gettin' sorta purply?
